Nicole Hautala

BA, RTC

Originally from Golden, Nicole moved back for her love of the mountains, friends, family and most of all, the community. She is so excited to join the Golden Wellness Hub to offer individual and couples counselling. As a trauma-informed counsellor she will welcome you into a non-judgmental space with genuine empathy and compassion.

She is a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor with a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Lethbridge and a Diploma of Professional Counselling from the Vancouver College of Counselling Training. Currently she is completing a Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University. Some areas of experience she has are supporting those in immediate crisis, women and children fleeing domestic abuse, folks struggling with addictions, trauma, anxiety, depression, self-harm and loss.

Nicole is both personally and professionally devoted to studying the mind-body connection and how both generational and individual trauma can affect our perspectives and how we live out our daily lives. She believes there is a unique wisdom and power within you; that you already have all that you need to tackle whatever challenge you are facing. Nicole will help draw these out while exploring the thoughts, feelings and patterns that are keeping you stuck.

She can help you gain awareness into your relationship with yourself so you can trust yourself and your inner wisdom again, while empowering you to confidently embody your true authentic self and live a life you love.

As a strong believer in self-care, when Nicole is not working with clients or studying, she is chasing around her one-year-old son, spending time with close friends and family, reading, and spending time out in nature.
