NAET
NAET stands for Nambudripad's Allergy Elimination Technique. It was discovered by Dr. Devi Nambudripad in 1983. It is a non-invasive and holistic solution to alleviate allergies and all types of sensitivities using energy testing and balancing, muscle testing, acupressure along the spine. The theory is that allergens are an energetic blockage within our body that can be released.
NAET uses the principles of acupuncture and kinesiology (testing) to eliminate allergies. These include foods, environmental, pollens, trees, flowers, chemical sensitivities and pet hair/dander. Due to the non-invasive methodology, this modality is often preferred as a method to help eliminate allergies in children.
The practitioner uses muscle testing to assess where the energetic blockages (allergies) lie, while the patient holds different vials. These vials carry an energetic frequency that our bodies recognize. Using this technique, the practitioner can determine exactly what you are sensitive to and can help to eliminate that allergen.
NAET can also be effective at releasing emotional blockages and past traumas that are stored in the cells. These techniques have been found to be successful in working with PTSD, depression, anxiety and emotional traumas.
Depending on your extended health insurance policy, NAET treatments provided by an acupuncturist may be covered by your plan.

The initial NAET session (60 minutes) includes an assessment of allergies and sentitiveis using energy and muscle testing. The client will be guided to hold vials with specific energetic frequencies of the components being tested. Sensitivities determnined during this testing will guide the treatment plan. The initial NAET session also includes the first treatment for allergens and emotional issues identified. Treatment is a non-invasive balancing through energy balancing and acupressure along the spine.

Follow up sessions for the treatment of allergens and emotional imbalances through NAET are 30 minutes in length. The number of sessions and length of time between sessions will be determined by the practitioner and the response achieved by the client.

We will use muscle testing and vials to determine which allergens affect your body. You hold a vial in one hand while the practitioner muscle tests your other arm. If your arm is strong while holding a particular vial that indicates that there is no issue or allergen or imbalance with that particular vial. If you are not able to hold your arm up no matter how hard you try, that indicates an allergen, sensitivity or imbalance to that item in the vial. As we are all energy, while holding each different vial, your body recognises the energetic frequency or vibration of the vial.
The treatment then consists of doing acupressure along the spine while doing some breathing that you will be guided through. This activation breaks the energetic blockage to the vials that you are holding, retraining the brain not to think of the items as the enemy.

The number of sessions needed depends on how many allergens there are to clear. Some people may need as little as 1-2 treatments. Others may need to come for up to 10-15 treatments, especially if there are many allergens to heal or if we are healing emotional issues.
