HALOTHERAPY (IN THE ZEN ROOM)

Halotherapy, also known as dry salt therapy, is a complementary therapy that involves breathing in microscopic salt particles, or inhaling salt-infused air, with the aim of improving respiratory and skin conditions. It is based on the belief that salt has natural antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties and can help alleviate various health issues.

Halotherapy sessions are done in the Zen room which has been specially designed and equipped with a halogenerator (HaloGX Pro by Salt Therapy Solutions). The HaloGX Pro produces the smallest particles in the industry and is a top end unit producing the most uniform sized particles for inhalation. These dry salt particles (less than 3 microns in size) are transported through the respiratory tract and lung system, drawing out excess moisture, mucus and impurities. Clients may sit or recline in the salt room for anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour while they breathe in the salt-infused air.

Halotherapy is often used as a complementary therapy for respiratory conditions such as asthma, allergies, bronchitis, and sinusitis, snoring, as well as skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, and acne. It has been shown to assist by destroying bacteria and restoring health and immunity. As with any complementary therapy, it is recommended that individuals consult with their healthcare provider before trying halotherapy.

The Zen room is equipped with zero gravity chairs, so you can recline, relax, breathe and use the noise cancellation headsets to listen to a variety of guided meditations (KSara), sound healing or other music. See below for options.

  • KSara is the Sanskrit word for Salt - which is a combination of halotherapy and guided meditation. As you relax in the Zen room and breathe in the dry salt infused air, you are receiving anti-microbial and anti-inflammatory particles. We recommend listening to one of the curated Guided Meditations (there are 3 KSara specific ones which are 25 minutes long), that you can choose from. Each of these are geared towards stress relief, grounding and deep relaxation.

We will be adding to the guided meditation options over time too so you are able to receive the benefits you desire.

  • We are currently curating a list of sound healing options to listen to for various durations for the Zen room to support healing.

Sound healing is a form of therapy that uses sound vibrations to promote healing and relaxation in the body, mind, and spirit. It involves the use of various sound instruments, such as singing bowls, gongs, chimes, drums, and other musical instruments, to create a soothing and calming atmosphere.

The theory behind sound healing is that everything in the universe is made up of energy, and that different frequencies of sound can affect the energy patterns in the body. By exposing the body to certain frequencies of sound, sound healing is thought to help balance the body's energy and promote healing on a physical, emotional, and spiritual level.

  • Sometimes we just need to listen to some relaxing music to allow the body and mind to reach a state of calmness. We are currently working on curating a list of relaxation music pieces you can choose from for your Salt Therapy (Zen) session in the Soul room.

  • We are currently curating a series of binaural beats audio experiences for you to choose from when using the Soul room.

Binnaural beats can be a useful tool for individuals who are seeking to achieve a state of relaxation, improve their mood, or enhance their meditation practice.

Binaural beats are a type of auditory illusion that involves playing two slightly different frequencies of sound, one in each ear. When the brain hears these two frequencies, it creates a third tone that is the difference between the two. This is known as the binaural beat.

Binaural beats are often used in meditation, relaxation, and sleep therapy as a way to help induce a state of calm and promote mental and physical relaxation. The frequency of the binaural beat can be adjusted to match the desired brainwave frequency associated with a particular state of consciousness, such as alpha waves (associated with relaxation and creativity) or theta waves (associated with deep relaxation and meditation).
